Reviews
Great stay Hampton. Felt like my vehicle was safe in parking lot could see from room 333. Room was great with king size bed & Hotttt shower much needed 16hr drive. Staff was super friendly & breakfast hit the spot. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good safe place to stay.
I was disappointed in my overall visit. No one was at the front desk when I went to check in and when the man came in he was very short. It was like I was bothering him by checking in. He didn't direct me where my room was and I had to search around for the elevator to find my room. When I got to my room it wasn't very clean. The sheet on the bed I slept on had yellow stains and the desk had some hard substance on it. It was very dusty. My kids wanted hot chocolate that is offered in the lobby but they didn't have hot water available and once again no one was in the lobby to assist. I found out later that the it was the same guy and also saw that he was always out front smoking instead of doing his job. Very disappointed. I probably won't be using Hampton inn again.
Update:
I changed my rating from a two star to a four star. When contacted, the management team took care of my concerns quickly and courteously. Although I hope that they actually fix the issues, it was nice to be heard.
This hotel is just....meh overall.
Minuses:
-The first week I stayed here, the room had a distinct, strong odor of old gym socks.
-The hotel staff doesn't greet/speak to you. It's more of a grunt, if they do actually acknowledge your presence. Front desk is almost always empty as most employees just chain smoke outside.
-Rooms were clean-ISH, but barely so. Most walls and trim with white paint had smudges.
-Rooms, bathrooms, and the hotel are outdated. Although, I get it...who cares? Visual nitpick I guess.
-Vending machines and no "store" in the lobby. Machines don't take bills. Only coins.
Plusses:
-Was easy to modulate the temperature in the room and the thermostats always worked.
-Inexpensive.
-Free continental breakfast.
-TV worked.
-Close to multiple eateries.
The staff was amazing, plenty of breakfast items
The room was way small , we choose Hampton and hiltons for the rooms are always bigger than most. But it was tight and cramped. The bathroom door was nasty dirty. Few bugs crawling around in the lobby. First morning I think the coffee was made wrong
Check in was great. It was a stop over hotel while traveling on business. The young lady was so pleasant. She even apologized for some contractors being loud over a few beers. Nothing major there as I’ve heard far worse.
Next day as I checked out the guy was a complete mute. Never said hello, good morning, F off not a thing. Terrible customer service on his end and so unprofessional. As a loyal Hilton Diamond member I have never experienced such terrible front desk professionalism. I did send feedback through the app and never heard anything from the property. Usually Hilton sends an email but not at this property.
Will check this location off my list!
Honestly this is the first time I ever had to write a bad review about a hotel but this one right here makes me never want to stay at a Hampton inn ever again. …
Probably the worst Hampton I have ever stayed at. How these establishments can charge over $100 for a nights stay is unreal. This hotel isn't any better than the Ramada down the street. This is definitely not high end. But they still want to charge a regular Hampton rate. You are definitely paying for the name at this place. I suggest the Holiday Inn down the road. Or for slightly less or under $100, try the Ramada. At least you will go into it knowing it's not supposed to be at least a three star, but at these prices four star establishment.
